I'm quite sure it's not a loop-pedal either. I think it's the keyboard player actually. If you listen carefully when it switches over you can here it has another sound.

You put the string all the way down on the fret you want like normal. Then rest your thumb half way or 3/4 of the way down the shortened string, then pluck with your index finger. It's the same concept as normal harmonics, just with a shorter string.

He grew up in a small village in Cameroon. He said at Bass Day UK he never went to a (music) school, I don't know about regular school. He lived in France for a while after Africa.

He was so funny when I saw him at Bass Day UK. He told us of a story whereby he came back from a holiday once, and some property developer had put a camera on Bona's house/recording studio while he was gone (for surveillance). The whirring noise it kept on making put Bona off whilst recording so he got his Katana and hacked off the camera. When the police came, he answered the door with this huge sword, and as he said himself "It's always good to have a weapon" :P

I never quite understood the whole singing-to-the-notes-you-play thing, and I'm not really a fan of it. I realize it does take crazy amounts of skill and I credit them for that. It's just not my thing I guess.
