A kidney is not a synonym, it is an actual organ. Normally people are born with two of them. Kidney theft is something that occurs sometimes, I think that's part of the inspiration for this sketch. The (lucky) victims typically wake up in a bathtub filled with ice, a phone within arm's reach, a note on their chest telling them what has happened and that they should call an ambulance if they want to live.
