Actually, of the total primary votes cast, he polled just 2 percent. He got 5 percent or less of the Republican vote in 22 separate states, including California, Ohio, Florida, and his home state of Texas. We the People said No to a man who opposes Social Security, environmental protection, civil rights, and workplace safety laws, abortion, evolution, and the MLK holiday.

Well Ron Paul never had a chance to be president cause all the big media(FOX,CNN,MSNBC) worked together to make him look like a man out of touch with reality and brainwash the Americans(propaganda always works. The media had nothing to do with it. He is out of touch with reality. He wants to eliminate Social Security and repeal the 1964 Civil Rights Act, and says Lincoln was wrong to free the slaves. He flat embarrassed himself in the debates: watch?v=8RVtc2S6sCw. Even in Texas, where he's been a Congressman for decades and everyone knows his views, he polled just 5 percent of the Republican vote. You can't hang that one on the media.

Dude if you ask me, I would vote for Ron Paul every single day of my life, fact is that the big media loved 3 candidates, Obama, Hillary and McCain. Obama for being new hope, Hillary for some reason I can't think of and McCain for being that Maverick that he is in the Senate. Again Peace out ;)

He couldn't be the Republican nominee instead of McCain because Republicans voted overwhelmingly against him. He raised a ton of money, ran a ton of ads, and got a ton of free media attention to get his message out there. Republican voters heard it and rejected it, as they did for Giuliani, Romney, and Huckabee, too. That's the process. Funny how you don't see the supporters of Rudy, Romney, or the Huck whining about it en masse.

Well you can't argue that everything Ron said about the economy has come true and he is right that your spending overseas is slowly taking you guys down. I hope the president elect Obama will cut the overseas spending of your military so at least you can put that money into better use at home. It's pay "roll," not "role," and "statesmen," not "statesman." And my arguments have stuck to Paul---he polled just 5% of the Republican vote in his home state of Texas, and 3 to 5 percent in 21 other states. We the People will always say No on Paul and his backward-looking hatred.
