Vista is so slow - my 2001 desktop computer (AMD Duron 800MHz, 384MB RAM) with XP is faster than a 2008 laptop (AMD Athlon Dual Core 1.9GHz, 3GB RAM) with Shista, sorry Vista. The laptop was meant to replace the aging desktop computer.

vista sucks,it's a Mistake edition in windows family. XP rules. Vista has mostly only application compatible problems,and it's very heavy windows. Windows 7 is going to be better than vista.

i dont understand why that is i put vista on my machine recently and it only runs slightly slower than what it did before...i have vista ultimate 32 bit..perhaps install xp on the laptop or wait for windows 7

XP is 2001 technology, if you want to live in the past and refuse technology keep using xp, if you have half a brain upgrade to Vista. And for all you bitching about drivers for your hardware, maybe you should buy a new printer, scanner ect. More then likely you bought that hardware and most of your software about the same time you got xp in 2001..... Its almost a decade old people!!

lol you "****" someone just because they have a different opinion? Yeah Vista OS actually take 5GB of your hard drive, making old PCs with small HDs even slower. But if you have a external hard drive, or a new PC Vista runs like a charm, brilliant graphics, intricate details, the next level in MS OS Times change! Things are going to eat up your memory if you don't undate your PC, why not just get a 500GB external HD and enjoy super fast Vista?
