The producer Timbaland seems to have used a six year old song from a finish musician and used it for the song "Do it" by Nelly Furtado. to all you MUGS who quote "it's a sample"... go sample 3-5 seconds of Tim's work, put it in your tune. If you don't clear b4 release you will hear from his record company.. Tim sampled hhmm 20 (? a LOT anyway) sec. WITHOUT clearing it before release.. sampling by TRUE samplists is maybe 2-3 seconds and then you totally mangle it up so it's something new. So you won't know where the original is from.Lazy boy doesn't even do that. then he ripps off the midi sequence further on in the tune.

Agreed. But It's hard to prove. There are many tracks with the same bassline. Because music don't have too many possibilities. So usually they call that a copy when the lead melody (the part that you play on your right hand) is the same. Thats a copy. In this clip just the bassline is the same. Hard to tell..

slash he's NOT played a note.. just recorded the c64 chip as a WAV. All he did with that was mute the bass channel. It's VERY easy to know the c64 sound, AND there are pinpoint blips in EXACTLY the same places in sid + timbos versions (no coincidence). it's like you making a song.. i take it and pretend I made it.. when the truth is your talent made that tune, not mine.
