Remember the pre-cable days huddled around the old black and white TV, fidgeting with the antenna to get WSBK TV38 to come in to see the Bruins?
And who can forget doing a jig to the opening tune by the Ventures ("Nutty")! These clips are a little "grainy" and seen best when viewed in the smaller screen but they are a reminder of the days of watching the Bruins before NESN (great reception today, but the team was way better then). And, o
f course, the best Bruin of them all (and greatest all around player ever!) wore Number Four!

The only one of us proven to be a bold faced liar is you..as you know I have watched 99 live more than a dozen times..dozens of Orr games TV live..hundreds of vids since..hundreds of 99 games while living in LA..all the Oiler/LA games from 84-87 live..I probably have a better perspective than a truth stretching geriatric..How many times did Boston allow 300 goals with Orr..yikes.. Grew up as a Canadiens fan in the 60s and 70s. Morphed into a Pens fan when I went to Pitt. I hate the Patriots, Bruins, Celtics and especially the Red Sox. Bostonians are really annoying. But if you don't love Bobby Orr, you don't love hockey or understand the game. +128 one season? Wow. Best Defenseman ever, physically crushing, maybe the most powerful skater ever in the NHL.

Haven't cheered for the Bruins since November 26, 1975..unless they were playing Montreal..whoever beats Montreal is my team..even cheered for Red Army vs Habs..probably the only Canadian who did..how I hated the habs with passion.
