I am not saying season 9 and ten was horrible or anything!!! I am just saying that they needed more seasons to finsh the Goauld arc first, and then begin with the Ori arc on a new series that takes in 50 years or so in the future.

Dude, the Gou'auld arc went for 8 years of it's 10 year run! The Ori was a welcome new enemy and 200% more formidible. It would've been nice to get 8 more seasons out of THAT story arc, as well! The movies were very cool, but not the same as a series. I can't believe they're cancelling SGA in favor of making it into films!!! I would MUCH prefer a 20 episode season, thank u very much. Bloody Brad Wright sucks ass!

Do u actually KNOW why he left? He is the single parent of his 9 yr old daughter and he's based in California. Vancouver's awful long way to travel when you are in that sort of situation. It's not like he was selling out on the show or anything, I mean, he came back for numerous episodes!

yes they did, cuz in season 8 colonel O'neill becomes general O'neaill, and they manage to defeat the goa'ulds, and in seasons 9 and 10 liutenent colonel Mitchell joins sg1 he also leds sg1 to defeat a new enemy the ori

well don't missunderstand me i have nothing against o'neill,i liked the character, but o'neill was getting old and he also promoted to general, they had to get someone else, thus mitchell as a character looks a lot like o'neill

In any production, there are two prime positions in which to be featured in the credits. That is the first position "Starring..." and the last positions with "And..." or "Featuring..." or words to that effect. That's because most people remember those two over anyone else. So if Michael Shanks can't be first (Richard Dean Anderson and Ben Browder had that spot, respectively), then his agent got him the "and" spot.
Confused? Ask an agent. ;-)

I think you're mistaken. Michael Shanks was not in the original Stargate movie. The role of Dr. Daniel Jackson was played by James Spader.

nice...yea i watched all seasons but now im downloading them...season 10 is one of the best..it is realy sad that general Hammond died in real life...hope they will continue to film stargate atlantis and some more if those seasons are completed and run out of ideas just like in SG-1

Actually, this is the final season of Stargate Atlantis. SciFi has not renewed it for a sixth season.
