subliminal messages used in advertaising means that for example you have a clip of a happy family and their laughing etc. and theen for a millisecong a mc donalds logo pops up. You dont notice it but the next time you see the mcdonalds logo you think about the happy family in the clip. Its a type of advertising

They're subliminal in the sense that while you're playing the game, you may only subconciously notice the adverts, as you're concentrating on the task at hand.
