Bullcrap! I scratch vinyl and it is still very much alive my friend. Most professional dj's use a combination of both vinyl and mp3 turntables

Vinyl is not dead it just not widely used. But lets not forget the new DVS is using real vinyl to control their software, so in a sense vinyl is still very much alive just changed. and change is good! PEACE!

DVS is Digital Vinyl System. Its short for Serato,Torq, Traktor Scratch and Mix Vibe systems.

I've been on Serato Scartch Live for over 2 years. I love it, I'm not changing anytime soon. It's just like recorded vinyl, except you save your back from carrying crates!!

i cant tell the difference, but the only reason i would like to get time coded vynals is because there cheaper, and easier portability, i'm also looking for a deck i can connect to my mac, and some good software to, what do you recommender for a beginner like me , thanks please reply

ust get a cheap direct drive Numark Tunnrtable and Torq system. Torq cost less than Serato Traktor and Mixvibes and Torq does more.

Seems like the time coded one(in terms of frequency response) is a bit more compressed, less dynamic and has a bit more midrange...seems like it doesn't have all the little nuances as real vynyl, but thats just nitpicking. Very close.

I used to use real vinyl all the time but with Torq I can rip my vinyl to digital and make it sound any way I want. I prefer digital from now on. skippless, timeless,weightless,virtual reality :) PEACE!

i use torq its cheap and its very good however Serato is the industry standard its over 600 bucks torq is a little over 300
