These toys are sweet, but the absence of bodies with all those quasi-human sounds emanating from the stage makes for a literally unbelievable performance. For live gigs, how much more money can you earn with it? Will it get you better gigs? If you already sing well, these become rather pointless.
I am a career vocalist of twenty-six years. Every soloist that I have run into that tried one or one similar to it has sold it for a great loss and gone back to singing entirely solo. LESS IS MORE.

THis is a good point. I gonna demo'd this at a gig, Duo, bass acoustic guitar, to see if it will fly. It can go 2 ways: Either they think the bass player is singing great harmonies, or they'll realise and may not believe a word I sing. But then again, its a pub... I'll let ya know, but I reckon the people MOST effected by the songs, will feel a bit weird hearing something not real.

My only comment is why, when she introduces herself (:04), is the audio crystal clear, but when she gets into the demo (:10), it's muffled?

If I was paid by the gear I had, my house would be paid off, but it's not. This is a parlor trick that's good for maybe at very most one song a set.maybe. Folks start to think that you're nothing without this gear. It's bad enough I use midi now.

This is all I want: block out my original voice, and give me an octave higher pitch, so that I, a baritone, can do Journey, Led Zep, and everything else that sells. and-I don't want it to sound like Alvin and the chipmunks. I asked this of a dealer here two years ago, and all he said was, "I don't know, just check out the demo, or take it home."

For recording, you can't beat the VoiceLive. For a dozen different songs requiring backup singers, I might need 8 or 10 singers. With VoiceLive, they're a few scrolls away. MUCH cheaper, efficient, and NO logistical headaches.
Kinda like when I replaced a dozen dinosaur keyboards for ONE decent digital workstation.

"Step" is a command on VoiceLive.
If you're referring to each setting her foot selected: harmony off, harmony on, next song step (key change), harmony off.
Personally, I use midi keyboard, or TC's Harmony Control Guitar, which automatically follow the chords I play on guitar.
