If you watch the part where charlie and kate are walking away from the banyon tree after the pilot was killed by the monster and after the rain stopped there is a small screaming voice by a woman in the jungle and charlie notices it but doesn't say anything to kate. I just watched the scene again and I swear its a woman screaming, it definitely is not an animal.

I think you're right! Vincent has always been a mystery, and Walt is special like sean said when the first apperance of the smoke monster , walt says "is that Vincent?"

I think elliot maslow from lost via domus and jack has a connection, for the first: They both wakes up in the jungle, 2: Elliot doesent remember anything from the past, and jack has a blackout, in the end of lost via domus you see elliot leaving the island with a boat and he sees the plane that he were in crash above him, and then the whole game restarts from the beginning, so maybe jack did something special when he had a blackout, i don't know.

You mentioned that the producers said we all missed something very important in the first episode. I think it might be that the 4 toed statue on the island might actually be that of john lockes. If you look at the scene that shows john looking at his foot moving i think he only has 4 toes but cant tell because of sock. This can also be what they are talkng about. I know its a stretch but than again hasnt everything been one on this show somewhat

its a good point why the pilot was killed but just beacause it did not kill any one else exesept eko but, it has tried to kill other people as well and in boons dream it killed shannon. The monster can be a bit more viscose then you think.

no idea on the eyes...he could of been isolated from everybody else maybe because hes special..or they knew he had to be a leader...i dont know...ummm the white shoe?...it kind of reminds me of dave..hurleys friend..hmmm?? the pilot ..because maybe he wasnt anybody to pay attention to or the smoke wanted to send a message to the oceanic survivors..and as under this one..maybe it could be his baton.. but maybe just a flashlight?? thats what i think

the pilot is definitely more important than everyone thinks. first off, the pilot episode of this whole series was titled "pilot". well this could just mean that it is the pilot of the series (first episode) or it could mean something more. i mean, why didnt the writers name the episode something else? also, the smoke monster must have killed him for a reason. if you compare his death with eko's, you can see that both of these characters were not afraid of the monster. maybe thats the reason..

the pilot of most shows is usually "pilot" so i dont think that is significant. also locke isnt afraid of the monster, but he isnt killed by it.

i dont know about the other questions but the pilot... i think because he wasnt supposed to be on oceanic 815, it should of been Frank. Same reason Mr Eko died because he wasnt supposed to be on flight 815, he was supposed to be on the little plane stashed with heroine instaed of his brother.
