I know, im sitting here in awe i miss this game alot. Im gonna go out and get a PS1 and 3 just because i want to definately be able to play all the games i used to have. :) Man the 90s was fucking awesome for games, music and movies and stuff, the new millenium has been shit overall apart from obvious advances in game technology. The atmosphere and overall vibe you get from the first WipEout though is one of a complete and awesome experience which i miss alot. :) thanks for posting these dude.

You're 100% right in everything. Remember the first time you played Tekken, Ridge Racer, Jumping Flash, Twisted Metal and/or Wipeout and Wipeout XL? The feeling was almost overwhelming. For a couple of years, I think I knew how happiness felt. Wipeout XL is 12 years old now, and yet its music, gameplay, fun and feel destroy 99% of the games on Xbox, PS3 and Wii. Heck, even its graphics are still comparable, even BETTER than some games today! Now *that* is a game that's way ahead of its time.
