I think this beat is a Hand Jive and Bo Diddley was probably first to make it famous. Bo used to play the guitar like a drum and achieve a fantastically different effect.

I have the Album their First, In Excellent Condition, I first saw and meet them, in 1965 Academy of Music, In Concert, Host Cousin Brucie, And the Kinks along with them, I was 16 yrs old at the time, And, Shook Brian's hand, And a few more members, Except for Mick. They were Super! Awesome, And the Kinks too! Great Vid!
