India has light, olive and dark skin tones form the north to the south and this light issue think its ending now cuz its the orthodox ppl that feel that way, not the ones in bollywood. I totally, 150% agree. People's perceptions of Indians are so stunted by colour. If they looked in varying regions, they'd see mroe than skin tone differences, but difference in features, like in the north-east, Asam etc.

Well, this is a commercial, so obviously the lighting is playing into effect, but Aishwarya Rai is 100% East Indian. Make up has a lot to do with the fairness of her skin. In reality she's just like Sushmita Sen and Sridevi. Drop dead gorgeous but tan. I think you can find pics of her just chillin out at home without make. But she's still so pretty.

All indians are not dark. You must have visited the rural areas.There are many beutiful people in the cities.And it is no big deal being dark.Why do most of the people from europe get tanned?C'mon....xD Most of the indians have it naturally.. so don't be jealous!! Go visit cities like Mumbai,delhi and banglore..you would find Cool people..who are damn good looking...Better than these actresses and actors.
