| That's because their communist budget (or lack thereof) called for ceremonies that will never be topped. No other responsible city with taxpayers to face will ever be able to suggestive spending almost 3-4 million dollars on the opening MINUTES like Beijing did. Maybe Dubai and the other emirates will, but then again, the IOC won't go there - they already nixed Doha 2016 because it would be too hot for competition lmfao |

| All of the ceremonies are beautiful in their own way, but I enjoyed this the most. In Beijing I found that I was marveling the most at the technology used. But with Athens it was simply beautiful and artistic and powerful. This left a much stronger impression on me. |
