no, not all mid mount engines are designed to break away like that. The enzo is specifically designed to do that to dispurse energy. You don't see any lotus crashes where the engine is way off the car...because it's not designed that way. Even in highspeed side impacts i haven't seen engines coming off.

Ya I haven't seen many crashes where the engine seperates whether it was designed that way or not, although many cars today are designed to dispurse accident inertia. I figured that the destruction was the result of impact and not design.
