Lewis was too cautious to be the best in the world. He lacked that instict that put fighters on a different level. Lewis missed fighting the best fighters in the era when they were in their primes. A prime Holyfield fought from 1988-1993, Bowe 1991-1993, Tyson 1986-1989, Moorer, 1992-1995, and a still dangerous Foreman, 1990-1994. Lewis had no fights to prove himself when the best, at their best were fighting round robins. Lewis' defeat to McCall cost him his chance.

Eldo, George first made this comment immediately after he beat a Tyson victim Razor Ruddock in Cardiff Wales. This was Lewis' first big fight yet Foreman said this then? You really have to read in to what George was going off of. He always had a thing for Lewis but you have to see an agenda there just like HBO. Lewis was primarily an HBO fighter his whole career. Lampley was the biggest nutthugger of Lewis I ever saw. Turn off the sound of Lewis Holyfield II and the fight is a draw.

Any fool can slander someone, I'm not here to prove anything except that the fight in 2002 was nothing more than a farce. It was about money and Tyson collecting a paycheck no more than just like Joe Louis did vs Marciano. Because Marciano Koed a washed up Louis does that mean he is better? Did larry Holmes thrashing ALI mean anything except a paycheck? Just stop with all the nonsense about that 2002 fight because all it does is prove how shortsighted you are.

This is another mistake brought on by ignorance. How did Tyson dodge lewis all his career? Tysons career was from 1985-1991. Lewis wasn't even a contender yet. In 1996, Tyson won the WBC/WBA titles and had Lewis as a mandatory. Holyfield was the fight they wanted for monetary reasons. Lewis was #1 contender barely beating Mercer after losing to Tysons sparring partner McCall. Don King paid step aside money because the demand for the Holyfield fight. Lewis was no marketable at that point.
