i can not tell you how much i hate this italian pronounciation of latin. it's disguisting. By the way what is the difference between asking for intercession on somebody's behalf and praying?

Well the reason why this song has an "Italian" pronunciation of Latin is because it's sung in Medieval Latin, which is closer sounding to Italian than is Classical Latin. I personally prefer the the Classical more. Also I agree with you; there is very little difference between intercession (as mentioned by rvgmuhs07) and prayer, cause it still assumes a somewhat divine nature of the saints.

We know that death is just the separation of the body and the spirit and that the spirtit goes to the spirit world to prepare for the resurrection. However there is no teaching to be found in the bible that indicates that we should speak to the dead and ask them to intercede for us. Christ taught that we should always pray to the Father in His name and if we do so our prayers WILL be answered.

I said the medium communicates a message.I didn't judge them,but their actions.(side note:to tell others when they are sinning is a Mandate both in the Old & New Testaments)I don't know the state of their souls.If I were to scream to my son as loud as I could "I love you", would it really communicate the message of the words? Christian metal sounds like Rage Against the Machine. Their music fits their message of hatred & rebellion which are antithetic to Christianity.

people call me an atheist but I have still a strong sense of spirituality not in organized religion or the traditional monotheistic concept of God but that we are one with nature and other people and love is the highest ideal. Love is what all have in common and by they way I love the chant its so relaxing its puts me in a calm state thanks!

In Catholic theology, since God is the God of the Living, then it follows that the saints are alive in Heaven. As "special friends of God" they can be asked to intercede or pray for those still on earth, but this is only in popular thought, and is not official Church doctrine. They are not thought to have power of their own, but only that granted by God. The veneration of saints is sometimes misunderstood to be worship, in which case it is derisively termed "hagiolatry".

I am muslim and even i can say this beautiful! =) They say angels can be heard singing with any religious choir in pitches too high for the human ear to ear.. they have proven it with taking sound apart. Its on youtube somewhere. =)

You are absolutely right; however, we merely ask the saints to intercede on our behalf to God Almighty - this is an affirmation of our belief that we are all bound entirely to a communion of saints that works for the salvation of all.
