karajan joined the nazi party to keep his job. there's NO proof he was actively hating others for the nazis. while i condemn him for joining (unlike toscanini and klemperer who fled), he was (and is) still regarded as giving back to the musical world with musical.... awesomeness. that said, yes, he was a an egotistical maniac. but a man of his stature would've earned it? i can tell you're not a musician. you obviously don't deserve to be watching this video if you bitch of politics
