why stick to the appstore when jailbreaking the ipod makes it a billion times better for example you can have themes with summerboard prefs or customize just about everything else in your ipod with customize from carrier icons to battery images...

no u dont have to jailbreak it. Just plug ur ipod into the comp. then go to itunes and go to app store and choose the one u want and presto!

jailbreaking is basically like hacking your ipod touch/iphone. once you jailbreak it, you see an app in your menu. installer. then it shows a bunch of stuff you can install to your ipod like games.
