why does everyone talk shit about drummers saying that the stuff they play is simple obviously it's not that simple or you would be sitting down giving clinics to thousands of people everyday all drumming is, is small simple patterns played at varied speeds and displaced around a drum set so yes in fact there easy patterns but can you do them i think not

i just figured out how to do 1 handed rolls, i was playing a technique i learned from watching shannon lucas, and all i did was just move my hand up to the middle of the stick, so both the front and the back hit the drum, its like 2 sticks in 1 hand

its caled gravity blast in my opinion i call it gravity roll or go for short its really easy there or tutorials on youtube for it just look up gravity blast ^_^ have fun!!!

It's actually not the push pull - it's using the rim as the fulcrum. The stick rocks on the rim after the first stroke creating a second stroke on the way back up. It's easy to do, it's very difficult to do it like Rabb

Look at jojo mayer... he explains the technik on his DVD. but he uses also the thumb to make it more powerfull. so its an other version.
