producer, visual consultant, and 5D founder Bruce Block explores immersive design. Bruce has over 30 years experience in the visual, aesthetic and production aspects of film, television, and photography. His career encompasses every type of film/video production including feature films, TV series, commercials, documentaries, digital and traditional animation, computer games and IMAX films. He has been the producer and/or visual consultant on dozens of features, television shows and special venue films. Block's recent feature film credits include "The Holiday", "Something's Gotta Give", "Stuart Little", "As Good As It Gets", "America's Sweethearts" and "The Parent Trap".
Block is an adjunct professor in the School of Cinematic Arts at USC where he teaches required master classes in visual structure. He also conducts seminars in America and Europe at other universities, graphic arts companies, CG animation studios, and computer game design companies. He is the author of the book "The Visual Story" which is used worldwide by students and working professionals in every area of visual communication.
