| Kweli's basically saying that lies can sometimes be as mesmerizing or capturing or entertaining like a nice-sounding violin, but at the end of the day, they're just lies, and people shouldn't fall for it because it 'sounds good'. It happens all the time. People fall for explanations/ideas/half-truths that sound pretty and all, but are just lies. That's what Kweli was getting at, and in the context of this song "The Truth", it is pretty damn genius in my opinion. |
