| Something to hold out hope for: this doesn't happen to everyone. I think the numbers are in the 20-something percent. And only a percentage of those people experience severe withdrawals. Others just get the zaps, dizziness, and flu like symptoms for a few weeks. Good luck! |

| Paxil is withdrawal is worse than the original problem. It's horrible. The dizziness, headaches, moodswings, depression, suicidal thoughts... it's really, really bad. I'm going through an episode right now because of the doctor who put me on this horrible drug screwing up my prescription and so I'm out of pills and ready to kill people. |

| I just tried to wean myself else and I've had the zaps, dizziness. I felt like I was going to pass out. My dreams are so intense and horrible, I didn't want to go to sleep. My Dr. gave it to me because she didn't want me to be addicted to valium for my panic attacks. What a joke! I just couldn't do it and started taking the pill again. Paxil is horrible, don't take it for panic attacks or anything... What can I do??????? |

| Take one of the other SSRI drugs instead - that's my advice. Avoid Paxil and Effexor, as those have the shorter half-life which causes SOME people to get withdrawals. Beatbreaka is also right, though, this does NOT happen to everyone. But do you want to risk it??? |

| I was on that AWFUL DRUG FOR 5 YEARS. I went on zoloft to get off paxil.. Took about a year to get off. Down to a speck of a pill once week and a speck of zoloft finally worked me through the grip of hell.. The video isnt BS. Dont take it EVER. |

| When i first started paxil the doctor gave me a pink 10mg pill and i was suppose to take a full one. I got really sick, threw up, shakes, dizziness, speech problem but when everyone went away my mind was so clear and it felt so good. But the next day i was afraid to take it again so i went back he told me to take half, it was very hard to get on it but now that i am i feel great, just worried about coming of it! But I wouldnt recommend it to anyone that hasnt already taken it!!! |

| I really feel this post. If only I had a time machine. My parents put me on antidepressants when I was only 15, instead of helping me the healthy way. I've been on SSRI drugs for over 20 years now, and will never completely escape them. My only hope is to some day get from 15mg/day to 10mg/day Paxil. |
