July 28, 2007 - From backstage at Crossroads 07, a snipet of Jeff Beck's electrifying set.....Female bassist, Tal Wilkenfeld, a 21 yr. old Aussie, was the talk of the festival. Note: John Mayer in black tee with arms crossed offstage freaking out with delight (behind Tay under the rigging...on the left) ... as are all the other guitarists offstage respectfully eating their slice of humble pie.

why is that kick drum so loud? Its the same with any modern setup. the kick and snare sound wierd. This song wont work unless it sounds like it did on record.

Weird to see Jeff with Fender Bassman's instead of his trademark Marshall gear. Just goes to show how much tone is in technique, approach and phrasing, not just gear. He still sounds just like Jeff Beck here. I wish this would have made the final Crossroads DVD, kind of blows what they edited out!
