His history in congress is impeccable as was his service in the military. Most people didn't even know he was a veteran. You're right. It's not about the people choosing a leader for themselves; it's the equivalent of a Political Lottery. They raise millions of dollars in hopes that their party wins the election so they can be the ones to make the power plays for the next 4-8 years. They all have the same agenda; it's just a battle over who gets to be at the helm. Think about it. Ron Paul; while extreme in his ideals; was the only candidate that truly held the People's interests close to his heart.

I love Naomi Wolf. The Beauty Myth is nothing short of a classic. Her arguments can be alarmist when making a strong point, but often the point is one that needs to be made strongly or else it goes unheard. I'm totally going to read this book.
