LOL kipping pullups are so BS XD. They rely purely on momentum. However, if you are not that strong to do 50 pullups, then by all means, do kipping pullups and slowly decrease the swing later on.

I can appreciate this style of training. As a dedicated weightlifter, I am more prone to appreciate strict form over momentum driven movements;but both have their place. I would incorporate some of this type of training into my summer routines and go outdoors for a switch from my typical iron temple technique. No need to argue amongst brothers in strength! We all kill it one way or another!

hahaha. that made me laugh. but i know what you mean. it seems to be surrounded in hype, and there are a lot of people who act like it's the biggest innovation in fitness training, and they draw a lot of negativity to the movement. that said, though, it's a good way to get in good condition.

Wow, these pullups suck! I'm an idiot, so I'm not going to bother reading any of the previous comments about kipping pullups; I'll just assume they're doing it wrong, because obviously I know what their training goals are and the best way to achieve them! Crossfit sucks - even though I've never tried it, I know that my isolated movements and 30 minute low-impact cardio at LA Fitness is better!! WHIIIIIIIINE!
