"All You Need Is Love" is a song written by John Lennon with contributions from Paul McCartney[1] and credited to Lennon/McCartney. It was first performed by The Beatles on Our World, the first ever live global television link. Broadcast to 26 countries and watched by 350 million people, the programme was broadcast via satellite on June 25, 1967. The BBC had commissioned The Beatles to write a song for the UK's contribution and this was the result. It is among the most famous and significant songs performed by the group.

But perhaps the ideal of love, includes things like houses,food,clean water, medical care. Instead of taking it as just love in the sense of giving some one hugs and kisses. Think about it as things that care for people and people doing the right thing, like making sure water is always on hand and that they can get health care.

In the 60s it was so different,there was a sort of magic.Lots more freedom and always something happening,it really was love and peace,sharing,caring and in a way was focused even more by all the troubles in the world.(Vietnam,middle east etc)The music,so many songs remembered,how many songs nowadays to go on and on,? sadly not many.But I find the kids of today are ok,give them a chance,TALK to them and some of you older or'respectable' types would have a pleasant surprise.
